Conversation between two objects

Pencil: I'am so tall, sleek and fancy. I'am much needed for artists and look at you!

Sharpener: Without me you would be nothing! Just a piece of wood is all!!

Pencil: Oh! Not at all, there are other means of shaping my wood, like the knife!
I also have many friends like compass, ruler, books, paper and many more.

Sharpener: I'am content with my kind. We have our own company. We come in different shapes and                                   sizes and nowadays even automatic sharpeners have come. Look at no, no progress at all.

Pencil: So what if you have progress, I have a better progress, where I dont even need you! We now                        have mechanical pencils... You can't eat me anymore. I can add colors to the paper as                          well and make it look beautiful. Can you?

Sharpener: I agree with you on the fact that I cant add colors to the paper and make it look beautiful.

Pencil: (interrupting) See...now you agree that I am better!!

Sharpener: But, your non-mechanical pencils still do need me and you should agree with me that                                      when they cut you with the knife you don't look as pretty as I make you look.

Pencil: Yes, very true...we need each other whatever it may be, and its not only for us...its for                               everything around us...nothing is complete on its own.

Scene Description

Describe Scenes

Airport Arrival
I have just come off an airliner after a 45 minute delay from Delhi, and it absolute chaos. There are gate agents screaming for transfer passengers and there is a sense of disorganization for a few minutes of delay. Generally when the flight is on time its not disorganized, everyone just walks their own way. But, today its an exception. The airport is gigantic, if you do not follow the sign boards, you could easily get lost and finding your way out can be pretty difficult.
I follow the crowd in front of me, the crowd is lead by one of the airline staff to the immigration counter. But I don't really need an airline staff to guide me, I find my way ahead of the crowd following the sign boards. I walk for around 15-20 minutes and I reach the immigration counters.
I enter into one of the shortest ques. There are 5 people ahead of me. They look like a family. A middle aged couple with a girl child of around 5-6 years and an older couple who I think are the parents of the middle aged man.
The man goes ahead to the counter with his daughter and wife. Then as he goes through the immigration, there is an announcement and the immigration officer for the line, closes his counter and leaves us waiting.

Playground Scene
During recess at school today, I saw three kids playing together. One of them was a kinder garden girl for Namrata's class; another was a first grade boy also from a class that Namrata takes. The third was an older boy, probably the third grade? but I am not sure. I may have seen him at a school function. I have no clue how he knew the other two - maybe he knows them from the Club Activities at school, or maybe some other way.
They were playing with a hula hoop. The older boy sent it spinning along the ground, while the other two ran after it. The girl usually got it first. I don't know if she just had more energy or if the other boy was just being nice and making sure that she was getting it her fair share of the time.

Snow Hills
I get down the trolley and I walk into the light. Its extremely bright. Its like reflectors all over the place, and its all white with bits of the brown dry hills showing that the snow has melted. I see people at a distance... wearing bright color clothes, pretty much for the winters. From the top of the hill a few people are just moving downwards, pretty fast I must say, guess they have decided to ski down.

Story Writing (Group)

Assignment 1- Story Writing in Groups

"Are you okay?" he asked once she settled in the chair across him. She nodded, and he cleared his throat to talk further.
"Good. I am sorry for the lack of professionalism here, but..."
"But what?", she said graciously and couldn't keep away from his eyes that were glued at her and she became conscious of the fact that he spoke in the same tone like three months ago.

                                                                                                 Starting - Diksha Tandon

"Please don't leave the job", he blurted and she kept an expressionless face to avoid the talk. But, he leaned forward and she looked and him and couldn't keep herself from smiling.
"You don't really need me here" she said in a quiet tone and continued after a few seconds of pause, "You have Maria here, and she takes care of everything her own way. She will find someone her type to fill my slot as well."

                                                                                                - Ringlin Mercy Krispah

"Maria!", he said with a faint smile. He realized why she was leaving. "You don't have to worry about her. She wouldn't have her way always. She will soon be gone and everything will be back to normal."
"How can you be so sure? She just joined a few month ago and so many of the writers have been sent away by her. I don't think she would listen to you either." she ended with a slight laugh.
"Hahaha!! You surely are scared of her." he said jokingly.
"No. I ain't scared of her." she said in a louder modulation. "I just respect my work and... you" she softened.
                                                                                                   - Thurrya V.N

"Hmm....If you say you respect me, then you should respect my opinion of you staying back at the company." he grinned. He walked closer to her, held her by the shoulder and said, "We need you here Elena...We seriously do....I seriously do..." and his face went red and he put his hands down standing down and stood almost two feet away from her.
"I really want to stay back, but I can't. Its going to be difficult trying to please a stubborn person like Maria with my work. She just doesn't seem to be wanting me here." she says in her kind tone.

                                                                                                   - Aarti Golecha

"It seems pretty hard to convince you to stay back and work with me." he said smiling " What more could I say in your praise and your work so you decide to stay back?" he asks.
"I wouldn't really stay back now...and you don't have to try so hard." she tried to convince him to let her go as she turned to pack her bag.
"I wouldn't give up trying till you agree...so tell me what I can do for you Madam??" and both of them burst out laughing.
"Hmm...you could call me back once Maria leaves...and I wouldn't min coming back to the office again." she blurts out the thought that first came to her mind.

                                                                                                   - Sejal N.

"That is a good idea." he smiles and pauses "It could very well happen soon..." and he thinks to himself how soon is he actually imagining.
Elena take her bag and walks to the main door and he follows her out.
Knowing that she is leaving him miserably alone, with a firm shake hand and a hug Elena says farewell to him and smiling she says,
"Don't forget to call me once Maria is gone!"
